  • “I have been training with Cam for over a year now. Prior to working with him, I had been taking my fitness seriously for over twenty years. I noticed over the last couple of years that weight was creeping on around my waist and the usual things that I would do to drop a few kilos weren’t working. Friends told me it was menopausal weight and impossible to shift which I wasn’t convinced by. I also began to feel that working out in a gym with a trainer was becoming too generic and not tailored to my needs.

    That’s where Cam came in. From the outset, I was impressed by his diligence around any issues/injuries I might have. We started training and I was very impressed by Cam’s excellent depth of knowledge and the way he addressed a long-term knee and shoulder problem. I feel that when you train with him, it is a truly personalised experience.

    As time passed, I began to get interested in addressing my diet even though I thought I was eating healthily. Cam explained that gut inflammation can really impact weight and fitness goals. We talked together about what a 3-month gut protocol would involve and to be honest I wasn’t keen. I was thinking about the challenges of changing my diet. I am a really social person and love going out to eat and drink and all I could focus on was that I would be missing out.

    It took time for me to commit to giving it a go and then I went all in. Initially, I panicked as it seemed like I would have to cut out a lot of food that I ate each week as a (mostly) vegetarian. The panic lasted a week and then I found my mindset changing. It turned out that it wasn’t that hard and It was really manageable. Cam was a big part of my journey, being positive and encouraging and making suggestions. He sent me a lot of literature to read about the changes I was making, as well as meal suggestions. I dropped the hard-to-shift weight around my middle and for the first time, I didn’t have stomach aches. People commented on how good my skin looked. I was still able to go out and always found something on the menu to eat; I no longer drank alcohol. My sore knee felt better and a patch of eczema on my cheek healed. I ended up enjoying the protocol and I would highly recommend giving it a go”.
